Rainbow Elders Calgary is a volunteer-run organization determined to make a significant difference in the lives of 2SLGBTQ+ seniors. We work to provide
support and address such issues as social isolation, housing and loneliness.

As seniors, we believe that we have a responsibility to
connect with and be role models for our vulnerable 2SLGBTQ+ youth.

We invite you to join us as we make major differences in the lives
of both young and older members of our queer community.

The wonderful people at Calgary's Spotlight Film and Television
Productions have created this absolutely amazing documentary about us.

It’s a surprising phenomenon: even after being “out” for decades, seniors feel pressure
to hide their sexuality. A group of aging LGBTQ2+ individuals navigate concerns
around housing and inclusion late in life.

In the spirit of respect, truth and reconciliation, Rainbow Elders Calgary would like to acknowledge that we live, work and play on the traditional territories of the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Blackfoot Confederacy (comprising the Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai First Nations), the Tsuut’ina First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda (including the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley First Nations). This land is also home to Métis Nation of Alberta, Region III.

The Calgary Chinook Fund supports charitable organizations providing services,
programming, education, and support for and about the 2SLGBTQ+ community.
