Rainbow Elders Calgary is a volunteer-run organization determined to make a significant difference in the lives of 2SLGBTQ+ seniors. We work to provide
support and address such issues as social isolation, housing and loneliness.

As seniors, we believe that we have a responsibility to
connect with and be role models for our vulnerable 2SLGBTQ+ youth.

We invite you to join us as we make major differences in the lives
of both young and older members of our queer community.

If you are a senior member of our 2SLGBTQ+
community, we offer you a hearty hello!

You've found an organization created to provide elder
members of our community with support and friendship.

Perhaps you'd like to join us in one of our safe social events like meeting for coffee and cookies, or attending a dance or maybe a picnic in the park. We've been to films and concerts together, as well as pizza and pop afternoons.

You can always find our activities by visiting this page, or checking in on our Facebook page or, joining our mailing list.

Simply write "Subscribe me!" in the subject line of an email to us, and we will send you our latest news and inform you of upcoming social activities.

If you'd like to speak to a human, please email us and provide your name phone number. We will get back to you very soon.

We invite you to explore our website and find out more about us.

The wonderful people at Calgary's Spotlight Film and Television
Productions have created this absolutely amazing documentary about us.

It explains some of our work and some of the issues we are concerned about.

It’s a surprising phenomenon: even after being “out” for decades, seniors feel pressure
to hide their sexuality. A group of aging 2SLGBT+ individuals navigate concerns
around housing and inclusion late in life.
